Solarplaza organizes high-level events and trade missions - focused on solar and related renewable energy topics - in both established and emerging solar energy markets across the globe. With a track record of 130+ events and a network that truly spans the entire world, our mission is to positively impact the world by accelerating the renewable energy transition by facilitating knowledge-sharing at our events and through our content.

Where you come in
The interim HR Project Manager takes pride in the (personal) growth of our team currently consisting of 40+, mission-driven, (mostly) young professionals coming from 20+ different nationalities aiming to accelerate the sustainable energy transition. The team forms the core of who we are and what we do at Solarplaza. And you will become its guardian making sure we have what we need to work on our mission in an inspiring and fun way. The interim HR Project Manager will become part of our HR/Business Support department, reporting to the COO and have the support of an awesome team. 

Your concrete responsibilities

  • Structuring Solarplaza’s recruitment efforts & needs
  • Coordinating the recruitment of new team members

  • Actively distributing Solarplaza’s open vacancies

  • Coordinating additional employer branding activations

  • Structure and guiding the onboarding of new team members

  • Assuring our team managers check-in and document properly

  • Supporting the finance team by taking care of the salary administration

  • Making sure all relevant mutations are up-to-date in our systems

  • Keeping an overview of the personal development plans & budgets

  • Stimulate personal development by suggesting and organizing training courses

    Additionally, you are invited to contribute to:

  • clear KPI setting & structuring job descriptions

  • simplifying and uniforming our year-end evaluations

  • educating yourself and us on HR regulation
    (in regards to international team members)

  • rebuilding our salary house

  • and all other strategic and operational HR challenges

What we offer

  • 3 to 6 months (expected) assignment

Solarplaza International BV is a Dutch company, based in the Groothandelsgebouw in Rotterdam. Organizing solar energy events all around the world is our focus, ranging from established conferences in Europe, Asia and America, to pioneering conferences and exploratory trade missions in emerging markets. Our track record contains over 130 events, in over 25 different countries on 6 continents. Our mission is to accelerate the sustainable energy transition. We want to empower industries and emerging countries that support this transition and stimulate renewable energy market development with a focus on solar energy and related power infrastructure topics. This year we are celebrating our 15-year anniversary, (non-fossil) fueled by an average annual growth of around 30%. Our current team consists of 45+ young, ambitious, and highly-educated people.
