The application of solar energy is growing rapidly worldwide. Solarplaza is a global solar news platform and leading organizer of high-level conferences and trade missions in this industry. We offer a media partnerships internship within the marketing department to a hands-on and highly motivated go-getter. This is a special opportunity for an ambitious, student to join and learn from a dynamic, international company on a mission.
Your role and everyday tasks
Media partners are an important part of Solarplaza’s digital marketing success. In order to reach the local markets where our conferences are being organized, we need to contact local media outlets that help us promote our events. How? Through several communication channels and advertising.
You will support researching the media outlets available in different markets, as well as their fit with our target audience. You will help to build a media partners database to better understand the value and the reach of media partners. You will make sure that everything is delivered on time and will be in contact with different nationalities around the world, adapting to the particularities of every market.
Expected main responsibilities:
Supporting with optimizing processes:
Keeping Salesforce up to date with all media partners
Reporting with Salesforce on media partners available per region
Overview of all deliveries and media partners to acquire
Media partners follow-ups and deliveries
Extra research to look into new partners for those events that could grow or where we are lacking a database.
Key Characteristics and Challenges:
Good eye for detail: communication should be smooth and materials delivered should be flawless. Every comma counts and your eye will spot all abnormalities.
Communicative: you’ll work in close collaboration with the marketing team and other 25+ colleagues. Furthermore, you will also be in contact with several nationalities around the world.
Sales-oriented with an understanding of marketing: this role is part of the marketing team, but our goal is to keep building strong working relationships with media partners.
Quick & eager learner: You are a fast learner and can pick up tasks, software, and new responsibilities quickly and with enthusiasm. Sure you will be guided, but you don’t mind finding your own way to get things moving.
International environment: You enjoy working with internationals and have cultural awareness. It is important that you feel comfortable in using English as a primary language of communication within our office.
Available for 2 to 3 days a week, starting asap for preferably 5 or 6 months
Pursuing a BS or MS degree in a related field: e.g. Business, Marketing, Economics, Media & Communications
Internship for a student currently enrolled at university
Excel / Google Sheets experience
Proficiency in English (emphasis on spoken) is a must.
Basic knowledge of Salesforce is a plus, but not required
Living in - or near - Rotterdam
